Dr Bauchot received his Engineering Diploma from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications at Paris in 1981. He then spent two years at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and received a PhD degree in telecommunications and signal processing. He joined IBM in 1984 and has held various development and architecture positions in the Networking Hardware Division until 1997. He then moved to IBM Global Services as a Solution Architect and Offering Business Development Manager before joining in 2005 the IBM Sales and Distribution organisation, serving the Energy & Utilities industry.
Since 2012, Frédéric is an IBM Distinguished Engineer, working as the Chief Technical Officer of the E&U Solutions Center, and as the Client Technical Advisor of the GDF Suez and Areva groups.
Frédéric is a senior member of the IEEE, of the IBM France Technical Expert Council, of the IBM Academy of Technology, of the IBM Academy Leadership Team, and is an IBM Master Inventor with a portfolio of 183 patents. Frédéric received many IBM and non IBM distinctions, including the “French Engineer of the Year” recognition, awarded in 1996 by the French Minister of Industry and Research.
