Emil Koifman
Emil Koifman is a co-founder and the chairman of the Society of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Israel. Emil holds a M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Pavlodar University, 1970.
Mr. Koifman immigrated to Israel in 1980. Emil worked for IEC, Israel Electric Corporation, for 34 years till his retirement. He designed many of the high voltage power lines and managed many power network sectors. He managed the metering unit of IEC and was in charge of the Smart Metering project and the Smart City Pilot Project.
Emil had volunteered, for many years, to public activities focusing on the progress of the electrical engineering society. In 2002 he was one of the founders of a new professional, nonprofit, organization – SEEEI. He is the chairman of the society and the spirit behind its vision and its progress. He was awarded in 1914 the Minister of Energy Lifetime Achievement Award for his ongoing contribution to Electrical Engineering, the professional community and the creative leadership.
