Prof. Borovich is the Dean, School of Management and Economics, The Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo, Israel.  He is a Professor Emeritus of Computers and Information Systems at the Faculty of Management, Tel Aviv University. (Since 2002). He holds a PhD in Operations Research, an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn.

 

 

Prof. Borovich served as Chairman, Board of Governors: AFEKA Tel-Aviv Academic College of Engineering (2006 - 2008), Wingate Institute for Physical Education and Sport (since 2008). He is member board of trustees: The Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (since 1994), Polytechnic University, New York (since 2006). He was involved in large infrastructure and municipal operations: : Member of the City Council of Tel Aviv, member of the City Executive Board and head of the Transportation Division (1993-1998), and Chairman of the Board, Ayalon Highways Co. Ltd (since 1998).

 

Prof. Borovich lead and managed many conpanies, some in the airline industry: he was President & CEO, Knafaim – Arkia Holdings Ltd (1993 - 2006), Vice Chairman, Knafaim Holdings Ltd. (since 2006), 

 and chaired the Board, El Al Israel Airlines, (2005-2008).

 

Prof. Borovich is active in managing  social nonprofit organizations.

 

He is the author of several  books and large number of articles in leading journals.
