Col. (Res.) Nurit Gal

Nurit Gal is the director of the electricity regulation division at the Public Utility Authority in Israel. Prior to that she was the director of the systems analysis department at the IDF general staff, holding the rank of Colonel. Mrs. Gal is currently also a Ph.D. candidate at Tel-Aviv University. Her primary research is in the area of competition in electricity markets and the effect of uncertainty in fuel prices on competition.

Mrs. Gal holds B.Sc. in Physics and Math from the Hebrew University, a M.Sc. in management from Tel Aviv University, a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Master in International Energy Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
